you’re all set for the new arrival. make sure they are too.

a new family member is a big adjustment, especially for the little ones.

You’ve given birth before so you have some idea what to expect. You know which baby items are essential and which ones didn’t get touched last time around.

Many things are familiar the second (or third or fourth) time around, but the addition of a new family member isn’t just adding a piece to a jigsaw, it’s more like adding on to a mobile – all the other moving parts need to adjust and find their balance.

One of the major moving pieces is your older child(ren). Their lives and routines will change drastically as well with the addition of a new baby. They have questions of their own:

What does a baby eat in Mom’s belly?
Where does the baby come out?
What does a baby do all day?

We’ll explore these questions and more in a fun, age-appropriate way.Ideally we would recommend course participation after the 30th week of pregnancy.

frequently asked questions

Will this course prevent my child from getting jealous of their new sibling?

It can be hard to predict how your child will react to the new sibling. We can’t eliminate jealousy altogether, but by setting realistic expectations and answering some basic questions before the arrival of the new baby we can help ease the transition for your child.

Do parents attend the class?

In addition to the child, a 30+ week pregnant belly is required to attend. Any additional adults – partners, grandmothers, etc., are welcome as well, but please get in touch with me first (we don’t want an overwhelming number of adults in the class)

I’m interested in taking the class with my child, but don’t see a date that works for us before my due date. What can I do?

Please get in touch to see if we can schedule an upcoming class that fits with your schedule!
