What is a doula?
A doula is someone who provides emotional and physical support before, during, and after childbirth.
While midwives and nurses will most likely be strangers to you and may change shifts during your labor, a doula is your chosen support person who is there for you from start to finish. A doula can also help you prepare for the birth and talk it over afterwards.
A doula can help you feel calm and in control in what can otherwise be a stressful situation. In fact, studies show that the rate of interventions needed (induction, cesarean, vacuum, etc) is lower for those who have the support of a doula.

Our goal is for you to walk into birth feeling truly ready—informed, supported, and with someone in your corner who has seen it all before. A good doula doesn't just hold your hand. She makes sure you know what's coming, helps you ask the right questions, and gives you the kind of honest, experienced guidance that turns anxiety into confidence. That's exactly what LilyBee is for.

A Circle of Doulas
Every doula in our circle works together, trains together, and has each other's backs. That means if your doula ever needs backup, someone steps in who already knows you, has read your notes, and is prepared to show up fully. You will never arrive at your birth to find a stranger.
Your first point of contact is Christine, LilyBee's founder. She will get to know you, understand what you're looking for, and match you with the right doula from the circle. From there, your doula takes over — and the whole team is quietly behind her.
What's Included?
Every birth doula package includes:
- Three prenatal appointments with your doula to get to know each other, talk through your birth preferences, and prepare for what's ahead. At least two of these are in person.
- Four weeks on-call from 38 weeks, so your doula is ready to be with you whenever labor begins.
- Continuous support throughout your birth.
- A postpartum visit once you're home, to check in, answer questions, and make sure you have any additional resources you may need.
- Access to your client portal, which includes an online antenatal class and a library of curated pregnancy, birth, and postpartum resources.
- A live virtual breastfeeding consultation with an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) during pregnancy, so you feel prepared and confident before your baby arrives. You'll receive a link and code to book this directly at no cost to you.
- Exclusive access to our partner network, including in-home pregnancy and postnatal massage and personal chef services, available at special rates for LilyBee clients.
Postpartum Doula Support
If you'd like dedicated support in the days and weeks after birth, our postpartum doula service offers 18 hours of in-home care from a qualified postpartum doula. What that looks like is entirely up to you. It might mean nourishing food prepared in your kitchen, practical help around the home, a gentle massage, someone to hold the baby while you sleep, or simply a calm and experienced presence while you find your footing. Postpartum support can be booked on its own or alongside a birth doula package.

How much does it cost?
Birth Doula Packages start at 3290 CHF
For support during pregnancy but without a doula present during your birth, we have an "Everything but the birth" package starting at 1300 CHF.
Postpartum Doula Packages start at 2570 CHF
Our doulas are independent contractors and can set their own prices. We will match you with a doula based on your values, location, availability, and budget.
How it works
Fill out our intake form and book a call with Christine. We want to get to know you before anything else. In that first conversation we'll talk about what you're hoping for, what feels important to you, and any questions you have.
We match you with your doula. Based on your needs, your personality, and who is available around your due date, we'll pair you with the right person from our circle.
You get connected and the support begins. From there, your doula reaches out to arrange your first prenatal visit, and you get access to your client portal right away.

frequently asked questions
Is a doula a replacement for a midwife?
No. A doula is not a medical professional. This means that your doula will not diagnose you or your baby, monitor your baby’s heart, assess its position, or perform vaginal exams.
Will a doula replace my partner?
Not at all. If you have a partner who is there to support you, that is a real gift — the connection you share and the insider knowledge they have of you is something no doula can replicate. Your doula comes alongside both of you. She can give your partner a break, help them know how to support you, or simply hold the space so your partner can be fully present too.
If my labor takes a long time, will I be charged extra?
There are no extra charges for a long birth. Your doula stays with you from the time you call until your baby is born, for a flat fee. If a very long birth requires relief support from another doula in the circle, that is handled within the team — it does not affect your experience or your cost.
What if I go into labor before 38 weeks?
Your doula is on-call from 38 weeks, but please reach out if you think labor is starting before that — we will do everything we can to be there for you.
What if I'm having a cesarean?
Doula support during a cesarean is genuinely valuable, and our doulas have accompanied many families through both planned and unplanned cesareans. If you're having a planned cesarean, we'd love to talk with you about what that support can look like. Please get in touch.
I like the idea of support during pregnancy, but I'm not sure I want someone there for the birth.
That's completely valid. Get in touch and we can talk through what would actually be useful for you. There's no one-size-fits-all here.
